YWCA Launches New Book Club

By Shaunna Cullen

YWCA New Britain is excited to announce the formation of a monthly Book Club. This group will meet the third Thursday of each month to discuss a book-of-the-month that has been chosen. This club is open to adult men and women who are YWCA members and guests, free of charge. The first meeting will be on September 21, 2017 in the Colonial Room at YWCA New Britain.

The line-up for this season is as follows:
September: Handmaid's Tale
October: The Time Traveler's Wife
November: The Red Tent
December: All The Light We Cannot See

Participants are encouraged to read the book prior to each meeting, and discussion will be casual.

"This club is open to diverse members of the community to come together, build relationships and share ideas through literature," said Member Engagement Manager Heather Labbe, who is heading the discussions.

There is no cost to attend, but RSVP is required. Please RSVP online or contact Heather Labbe for more information at 860-225-4681 x226. Babysitting will be provided for children under 12 years old.
