Build a Better Block
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Invest Health collaborative brings to East Side residents a rapid urban revitalization project designed to showcase how temporary streetscaping improvements including pop-up businesses, local art and culture, and health resources can improve the community and create connections. This event is FREE for New Britain residents and their families and will take place on East Street (between Dwight & Church Street).
Activities will include: Photography and art exhibits, food trucks and local vendors, outdoor pop-up fitness center, street market and local crafts, games and kids activities, dance performances, farm fresh food stand and food demos, pop-up bakery cafe, live graffiti art, and health assessments.
Partnering organizations include YWCA New Britain, The City of New Britain, CCSU, CHC, New Britain Chamber of Commerce, New Britain ROOTS, New Britain Police Department, Art League of New Britain, East Side NRZ, and more!
