Meet Our Trainers


Valerie is the Community Wellness Director here at YWCA New Britain.  She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from CCSU, and her Master's Degree in Public Health from Des Moines University of Health Sciences.  Valerie is a Nationally Certified NSCA Personal Trainer with over 10 years of training experience and is certified in Les Mills RPM.  Her main goal is helping her clients dig deep, to discover the fitness potential they may not know they possess.


Rebecca earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Wellness from Arizona State University, is a Certified Exercise Physiologist and holds a level II Exercise is Medicine Credential through the American College of Sports Medicine. Rebecca was a competitive gymnast for many years and is able to use her knowledge and skills learned from being an athlete and a coach when training her clients. She is passionate about helping others reach their goals and live a healthier lifestyle.


Devante is a Certified Personal Trainer (W.T.S & NETA).  Joining the military pushed him beyond his limits more than I could fathom. The exhilarating feeling of constant strenuous tension from working out made him instantly fall in love with fitness, and he knew he wanted to pursue it as a career.  He loves the gym environment and helping people push past their own physical and mental boundaries.
