1910 Society

By making a planned gift, you become a member of the 1910 Society, our legacy society.  The men and women of the 1910 Society are those that have already made a gift of $1,000 or more to our endowment, or have notified us of their intention to include us in their estate plans.

Managed by the Board of Trustees, the YWCA Endowment Fund provides a permanent source of income for the organization.  The continuing financial health of the YWCA of New Britain depends greatly upon the growth of our endowment funds through the generosity of such caring members and friends.

There are benefits to membership in the 1910 Society as well.  Membership benefits include:

  • Specially crafted 1910 Society pin

  • Name included on the Wall of Honor

  • Invitations to special events

  • Acknowledgment in the YWCA Annual Report

At YWCA New Britain, we think it’s important to recognize donors who have made arrangements in their estate plan and to thank them today for a gift that will make a positive impact tomorrow.  We also hope that by showing our appreciation for planned gifts, we are able to educate our members and the community about planned giving opportunities at YWCA New Britain.

If you have already included YWCA in your estate plans, and you feel comfortable sharing this information with us, please let us know so that we may thank you and acknowledge your generosity and vision.  If you have specific questions about giving to the Endowment Fund, or would like us to work with your advisors, please call Kandyce Aust at 860-225-4681 x242.
